Poem Reads:
Don’t you feel it?
The electricity humming
beneath your skin
the fireflies glowing
under the canopy
of trees
stretching
reaching
climbing
into the brilliance
of stars behind mountains
of clouds that seem
closer than they are
don’t you feel that
fire scorching the earth
can’t you feel the rain
that’s tangled up with it
can’t you feel the resistance
the light that’s on its way
don’t you remember
what it’s like
to dream while you’re awake
