This original poem from Zombear Writes has been hand typed on an Underwood typewriter from 1911. This piece measures 13 cm x 9 cm.
Each piece is one of a kind, typed as they’re ordered so they’re each unique. The edges have been torn by hand to add a unique rustic appearance to the piece.
Poem Reads:
I turn the water to scalding
so I burn
so I can feel something
besides empty
so I can dance in the embers
that swirl up into the air
around me
that glow like fireflies
I burn
because the pain is better
than the hollow rot
spreading in my stomach
I am set on fire
so my screams
fill this blank space
so I know that I am alive
And alive only means
you still have a chance
to make things better
to feel full
to know what it means
to be whole
to try again tomorrow
